Teafanny’s Pop-Up Shop: Modular Gallery
Collaborator:
Eduardo Vargas Project reproduced in 3 different locations
The project is developed as a prototype to be reproduced in the most prestigious commercial malls in different cities in Ecuador. The context for each site is different but established in 6 m2, a maximum height of 3m, and next to a natural indoor tree. It is presented as an opportunity to rethink product and user relationships.
Teafanny’s Pop-Up shop is developed as a modular system and a non-permanent object. The site is interpreted as an introverted commercial center with opportunities to present different forms of interaction between users and architecture.
The proposal introduce a new form of interaction for local trade by shifting from a traditional enclosure exhibition to an open walking gallery.
Re-interpreting the form of trade by acknowledging the presence and value of products, the proposal for materials, colors, compositions, and hierarchies are in harmony with the aims of a gallery. Finally, the ability of the prototype to change over time by shifting the exhibition modules allows a continuous flow in its architecture, and the form is experienced.
