Venter is the starting point, proposing a new direction of thought for present and future generations, from a multidisciplinary and trans-scalar approach. Here, architectural development emerges from the issues of the contemporary world, acting on different levels and in harmony with various agents: plants, insects, atmospheres, sounds, and humans. This is the last and smallest space of the exhibition, but it is the only one intentionally dedicated to the other species with which we coexist.
It is a “Non-Human Centered” space where the ecosystem becomes the main design element rather than a complement, as it is commonly used. In this space, the arrangement of elements serves the natural world, and humans become spectators.Venter, derived from the Latin word for “womb,” refers to the creation of an ideal space for the development of micro-ecosystems. It is an artifact that floats over various species, allowing for the care and growth of new inhabitants in this space. It incorporates various technological objects to achieve optimal conditions for these new ecosystems. Venter emulates the skin of Mother Earth with an organic topography that abstracts the presence of the Ilalo Volcano.
Its intention is to house native species of an ecosystem that has been desertified due to the excessive real estate activity in the area in recent years. It is a composition of layers that isolates this small world from the outside and protects nature.
